Incorporating this practice into your daily self-care routine only needs to take 3-5 minutes of your day.
Here’s how to get started:
BEFORE GETTING STARTED
Find a time that works best for you to incorporate this practice into your daily routine. Being consistent with this practice helps provide the best results. Always make sure your hands and face is clean before engaging in this practice.
Spend a few moments activating your lymph by performing a few small jumps to enhance the circulation of lymphatic fluid throughout your body. Follow by gently pumping the key lymph nodes using the big facial cupping tool: above and under the collarbones and under your ears on your tonsilar lymph nodes. This step activates and open up your lymph nodes for them to be able to receive and dispose of the fluid you’ll be moving. Practice deep belly breathing as you massage and do 5-10 strokes on each area.
THE TECHNIQUE
Apply a generous amount of oil so that the Cupping Set can glide easily across your skin. Apply more if needed while using the Set. Gently pump the cup using moderate pressure on your face. Always start from the center of your face and moving up and out towards your lymph nodes, gradually moving in long, light, slow, and purposeful motions, aligning with the natural flow of the lymphatic system.
Sweeping technique:
- Gently squeeze small cups and stick on temple, brow bone and lips.
- Gently squeeze larger cups and stick cheek bones, forehead, neck and jaw bone.
- Use your free hand to anchor the skin behind the cup for a smoother glide and to prevent pulling on the skin.
Staccato technique:
- Gently squeeze the small or large cup in your focal areas (jawline, cheek, 11 lines, smile lines, etc), squeezing and releasing the cup in short, quick bursts. This gently moves the skin and allows for increased blood and cell flow.
- Do above for 5 mins and repeat 1-3 times per week.
- Clean in hot soapy water.
FINISHING: Drink plenty of water after using your Facial Cupping Set to help your body get rid of the toxins and continue a few rounds of deep belly breathing.
